Make wishes come true

November 27, 2018

You can help put some joy into Christmas morning for Aussies doing it tough by supporting the annual Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal.

Australia’s largest and longest-running Christmas gift appeal has collected more than eight million gifts over the past 31 years to distribute to those in need. Last year, the appeal collected more than 300,000 gifts.

Put an unwrapped gift under the Wishing Tree at your local Kmart store. Take a tag from the tree and use one end to indicate the age and gender of who you think might like to receive your gift. Please note that the appeal is unable to accept used or second-hand gifts.

This year, the appeal encourages giving a practical gift from the ‘Wish List’ that will help people in need all year round, including books, sports equipment, headphones, toiletries and educational toys. The appeal runs until 24 December and monetary donations will be accepted until 31 January 2019.
