Rating: 4 / 5

This beautifully presented hardback book is a powerful witness to God’s love for the traditional custodians of Australia, and to the talent of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists.

It is a book of healing containing a faith journey of an ancient people. Brushstrokes and words combine to tell stories of God—stimulating stories with powerful expression from indigenous artists.

Our Mob, God’s Story features the work of 66 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian artists who share their faith in 115 paintings inspired by verses from the pages of Scripture. The book also includes stories, some much loved, some not so well known, from the Book of Genesis right through to Christ’s crucifixion.

As well as being a fascinating read, this book would look quite at home on a coffee table in one’s lounge or sitting room.
