The Ties That Bind

Lexi Landsman
Rating: 4 / 5

A debut novel that hits the heights is a wonderful discovery, and The Ties That Bind, by television producer and journalist Lexi Landsman, is just that.

Switching between America and rural Australia, this contemporary story involves a tragedy affecting a small boy in urban America, and its effect on certain people in the remote Australian bush town of Somerset.

In the beginning, the two settings and scenes seem to have no connection, but as
Landsman develops the story, the reader is quickly drawn into the lives of people in both countries. After many twists and turns, the family finds a solution to the tragedy suffered by young Matthew and his parents Courtney and David. The bonds between family near and far are tested and challenged, but never broken. More please.
