The Secret Life of Pets (G)

Rating: 4 / 5

Do you ever wonder what Spot or Mittens get up to when you’re at work? Well, The Secret Life of Pets offers a birds-eye view (as well as a coterie of other animal viewpoints) of how your pet might just fill in the day.

Our pint-sized hero is Max (voiced by Louis C.K.), a terrier who lives an enviable life in New York building with his owner Katie—that is until Katie brings home Duke, a huge, shaggy stray that threatens to turn Max’s easygoing life upside down.

During a daily walk in Central Park, Max and Duke suddenly find themselves lost and before long come face to face with a riot of angry alley cats, dog inspectors and Snowball—a cute bunny with a sting in his cotton tail.

Packed with sight gags, adorable characters, as well as plenty of heart, The Secret Life of Pets is the perfect family movie.
